While in Vermont this past weekend, we stopped at a used bookstore (actually we stopped at three used book stores but I’m only focusing on this one right now).
Unfortunately, this particular bookstore was causing my allergies to go into overdrive so I was stuck sitting outside waiting for everyone else. On the porch were three bookcases of free books. I figured I could get a little reading in while I was stuck out there. I grabbed the first book I saw and, oh, what 80′s pre-teen goodness was in store for me. In that moment, on that used bookstore porch, I was magically transported to my young adolescence in all it’s awkward pre-pubescent glory. For there, on that used bookstore porch was:
